1. Hello aliens! First of all i want to thank you for coming to this interview. Are you at your first interview in Romania?

Hi humans! Thank to you for letting us come! Yes it’s our first interview in Romania, so we have to say thanks.

2. An important event is in front of you. You’ll mix in the opening of Tiesto show in Atlantic City. Tell us how does it feel to experience this sort of thing?

Yes we just received this great news from our US representer, Jason Nevins…after getting us at work on several major remixes, he came out with this news and we were literally slammed to the floor! It’s goin to be a blast of course, Tiesto is worldwide recognized as the most important dj, and it will be amazing to be the opening act for such a great artist who definitely changed history of electronic music! We are counting the days for this to happen!

3. Do you miss Eiffel 65 period?

Well music has changed since the time, it was a great period, we were all excited in the studio, then things had to change it’s natural…we are still in touch with them, they are still working on new projects, but with a new style of course, so we guess it’s not correct to say we “miss” that, it’s just constant evolution, in music and in life.

4. You are known as the best mashup producers. Have you ever received any response or reaction from the artist that you are using in your mashups?

Yes we were very happy when Lady Gaga mentioned our Paparazzi mashup in an interview, saying that she discovered Depeche Mode because of our track…also the producer of the Art Of Noise got in touch with big appreciations on our work with “Moments in Love”…and Stromae posted our remix of “Alors on Danse” on his facebook saying that’s the remix he likes the most….it’s great to see that original artists like what you do on their tracks! The good thing is that these unofficial mashups brought us some official remixes from labels who appreciate them, and so we got the chance to work on tracks by Ciara, Coolio, Fragma, Ginuwine and Gel de unghii de vanzare, and it’s amazing!

5. You get original tracks from the artists? Are the top artists such as Rihanna, Beyonce, Akon or Madonna opened to the idea of giving you separate tracks?

6. How did you had time to produce all this mashups? Do you have a team or you work in parallel?

We work separately in order to produce more stuff…since we are out for gigs every weekend, we have to use time in studio in the most productive way…and also, we take care of everything regarding the djs from mars project, from graphic to music to promotion…so we have to work separately to follow everything at its best (at least, we try!).

7. Regularly you launch a podcast with the best mashup productions. How do you choose this tracks? You follow some professional websites or there is a place where all the mash-up producers can send you the tracks made by them?

We also spend a lot of time in searching all across the web for these mashups….there are hundreds of great producers who just do their stuff and put it online, without labels and stuff…internet killed the record sales but gave a big spin to people’s creativity!

8. Have you ever got the chance to mix in Romania?

No unfortunately never…but we heard about your parties and everyone says it’s great country for club music!!
So we can’t wait to be there, and hopefully it will happen sooner or later!!

9. Laptop or CDJs? Why?

We use CDJs. For no particular reasons, just we find it comfortable to our way of performing…we like to have a dynamic show, also because of our unusual outfit and boxes, and a laptop would be so boring….we are also working with a new tool, it’s called nextbeat (www.nextbeat.net) and it gives u the chance to mix and play samples with a pad that can be removed and controlled in remote…so we can also move in the middle of the crowd, or even go to the bar and get a drink, all of this while our tracks are playing.

10. What do you know about Romania? Do you know any romanian artist or producer? What do you think about the romanian musical scene?

Well we are very connected to Romania since we are Italians, and in Italy there is a big Romanian community, so we have lot of friends from your country! About music, we played with Akcent once in Spain and it was amazing, they are really nice guys…we also know (not personally) Inna, Edward Maya, O-Zone…it seems like Romanian dance scene is getting bigger and bigger in the last years, and most of the European hits come from there…and we are definitely happy about that!

11. Do you have a message for all your fans out there who love electronic music?

Sure! We would like to say that if you love music, you don’t need anything else to enjoy it…
Like someone said, shake your ass and your mind will follow…..
